Reporting point compatibility issues
The association is continuously working on the promotion of the OpenTherm protocol and OpenTherm certified products.
Unfortunately in some cases OpenTherm products aren’t working as expected by manufacturers, installers and/or end-users. Sometimes this has to do with different expectations, wrong implementation of the system and in some cases something else is going on. The association sees it as their responsibility to make sure that the users of OpenTherm products (manufacturers, installers and/or end-users) experience using OpenTherm products in a positive way.
For this reason, the association has set up a reporting point to gain insight into compatibility issues that are currently being addressed. By gaining insight into the compliance issues, the association can take action on these issues. In addition, the information will also be used to further develop the protocol so that it also remains future-proof.
The association needs a number of data to gain insight into the issue, namely:
- Brand/Type of boiler
- Brand/Type of Thermostat
- Customer type
- Type of problem
